Raven Cliff Falls on Dodd Creek
The trail to Raven Cliff Falls is 5 miles round trip along Dodd Creek to the cliffs where the creek plunges through a narrow grotto. The trail is mostly easy walking through beautiful rhododendron and hemlock forests following the creek by numerous small waterfalls. The trail and falls is located within the Mark Trail Wilderness Area. The trail head is located on the Richard Russell Scenic Highway 3 miles north of Highway 75 near Helen, Ga.

This beautiful falls is on the headwaters of the Chattahoochee River and after driving to the area can be reached on a short walk along a easy pathway. Proceed approximately seven miles north on Hwy75 from Helen, Georgia and turn left on FS44 at Unicoi Gap. Follow FS44 five miles to the Upper Chattahoochee River Camping area. Turn right and proceed to the day use parking area at the far end of the camping area. Beginning at the trailhead sign to the falls near the parking area follow the trail 200 yards to the observation platform which will provide an unobstructed view of the falls. In the winter, part of the camping area may be closed and it is possible that you will have to park at the entrance to the camping area and walk to the trailhead, a distance of approximately one half mile.
